The Anime Club aims to give students a better understanding of anime and the many Japanese cultural references found within anime. Under the guidance of Mr. Jeff, students participate in anime related projects at club meetings to help students better understand some of the items found in anime and manga comics, and to show students that these comics are more than just cartoons. Mr. Jeff has been watching and reading anime and manga for the past 9 years, and hopes to share his knowledge and love of the comics with the students. He also helps at a local Shinto shrine, where he has observed and learned about Japanese culture and food.
Students! Have a particular anime or manga you would like to do a project from or a project idea you would like to try? Let Mr. Jeff know at the program, or submit your idea to CCi@CompleteChildcareHawaii.org
